Not Trying.

I am not going to try to blog.

There is too much going on.

I simply can't.

The kids are off, on half term.

There are two students to contend with, cook for and converse with when the kids are in bed.

I don't get any peace until 9pm on a good day.

Then there are messages to read, reply or react to.

Timelines to check.

Stats to celebrate or cringe over.

There are two blogs.  Too much to do.

Perhaps posts to read in my reader.

I could try tomorrow, but what's the point?  It's far too stressful with the maniacal three year old and a grumpy seven year old, who, with my attention, seem to transform into quite coherent and polite little beings and who, without it, make my life miserable.  Who can blame them?

It's difficult to blog from down the beach, while they're out on their scooters or on their bikes.

So I'm not going to try.

I could blog while they're watching a film, but I'll just load the dishwasher, empty the washing machine, stick it all on the airier, get dinner on, sweep up the mess, clear up the kitchen, have a look at Twitter on my 'phone, pour a glass of wine, consider ironing, decide against it, put their bikes in the shed, tidy that a bit, make a couple of calls, take another look at Twitter and before you can say 'Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium' my 'free' time will be over!

Of course, if my bum could hit a seat, that would be enormously helpful, but we all know that a child will instantaneously climb upon their mum, should one ever dare do such a thing and there's weeks worth of 'Africa' to catch up on anyhow, in the light of the possibility of said miracle, if I can remember where the TV that I never watch is actually located.

I remember the lovely Grenglish writing an entire post once about not having the time to blog and I completely understand, she's absolutely right.

There's too much going on.

No-one will miss me.

I simply can't.

I'm not going to try to blog.

Thank you to those of you who have nominated me in the Best Family Life Blog and Best Blog categories in the MAD Blog Awards.  It's sincerely appreciated.  None of this would be the same without you!
