YOU are lovely. You come across as confident and totally excited about going this weekend and I just know you'll have a brilliant time! The Butterfly stand sounds fabulous, what a brilliant idea!
Thank you Kathryn - and thank you for giving me the impetus to go for it - let alone holding my hand through the technical stuff. V much appreciated. XX
Thank you Tania. You're welcome to the mention and the term 'fabulous!' Am doing OK on the crutches - no big deal. Thanks anyway. You see, you're a lovely lady!
Hi Anya Loved your vlog. What a great way to make everyone feel at ease. I'm not going to BritMums but know you'll have a blast and your friendly smile will put lots of people at ease. Poor you though being on crutches! Can you jazz them up with tinsel and flashing lights for the event? Have a great time flapping around by the butterfly stand/wine/cake... Look forward to hearing all about it when you guys get back. Michelle
I'm so sorry I wont see you again - I actually meant to mention you particularly and about how many times I'd asked you where you live - something I'll never forget now! (CP - Iknow!) Another time, I hope. Thank you for such lovely comments.
That was wonderful OSM! So looking forward to meeting you on Friday. That video made me feel a little calmer. I too have put on alot of weight over the last few weeks - will be tucking flab into trousers!
I am so glad that you two have put on weight too. I lost a lot on the lemonade diet WEEKS ago and I thought I was all organised for BML but then my employer went into administration, so the last few weeks I have comfort ate for England and it shows!!!!! :-(
OSM: Thanks for a great Vlog and the comments have been lovely to read too. Liska xx
Sorry to read that Liska - let's hope it'll be the best thing that ever happens to you, as these things often are - and thank you for your kind words XX
Brilliant video, well said. We are all someone, sadly as you say there are some who are 'up themselves!' but we just ignore them and let them get on with it.
I think the crutches are a fab idea for the conference as now everyone will know who you are!
Ohohohohoh! I met you at STC too! I do hope I wasn't one of the people who was "up themselves!" I'm really worried now! I was brand new to it all at Cybermummy last year and I felt like a nobody, but you are completely right, everyone has every right to be there, and is as good as the next person. So everyone should stride in there bold as brass and feel on top of the world, because it is such a great event for all bloggers! And if anyone thinks I'm being up myself please poke me in the ribs and say so!
I didn't mean you and I knew you were worried that it is how you might have been perceived so actually made a point of saying about Mammsaurus' crew being great. I'll use my crutches on you if I have to tho!'
It's funny isn't it how you have no idea how you come across. I would never have said you were nervous, you were friendly and outgoing and seemed really confident. I had no idea it was your first event! I'm sur you'll have a lovely time at britmums. I'm not going sadly, but hopefully see you another time.
I wasn't nervous at the first event and everyone was lovely, (weren't they?), so went into the 2nd quite comfortably presuming everyone would be as friendly - but the first few women I met - who seemed to be on friendly terms between them - completely shut me out - and it threw me for the whole day! And it's thrown me for tomorrow! Might have to watch my own vlog!
Glad to see you're catching up - think we're all behind. I hear there was some cattiness in the loos after the awards - didn't surprise me whatsoever! Great to see you again too X
Gosh where to start - this is lovely! really lovely. Last week was so busy - it was on my to do list and I just didn't get round to it - I feel AWFUL. I so hope I wasn't an up myself person at STC - I do remember diving about trying to catch people. Finally, that you so much for the butterfly support. what you said is what we envisaged. On the day it didn't work out like that - but I think it would have worked so much better if we had had an area. I am so sorry about that! Next year! Lovely to meet you at the weekend. Brief but brilliant! Hope to see you soon. X
You've never been Up Yourself Gemma - did you hear that cheer when you won your Award? I wondered what had happened to the Butterfly area - and judging by some people's posts - it was sorely missed. And you're not getting married? Still don't know whose blog I left that comment on then! X
Just had 5 minutes peace to watch this - I woud have felt very reassurred had I been going to Britmums. Sorry to see that negative things happened anyway, such a shame. Polly
HONK HONK! Thank you for the mention my dear - I shall pounce on your for cuddles on Friday! xx
