He's not really reading it - he's only 3 3 /4! You can hear his elder brother -who's is reading Harry Potter in the other room - yelling at him to 'Be quiet' only a few seconds in!
I thought it I would put it on here for any of you with little ones who also love this story so they can join in and for those of you who don't know it, this might be a fine way to introduce them to it. There is a film and there are plays of it now and it's about a brave and clever mouse who outwits the creatures who want to eat him as he takes a stroll through the deep dark wood, by playing them off against one another.
Well it's a dog eat dog world and seeing as the little mouse problem we had here seems to have disappeared with the snow, it was no longer too touchy a subject! It's written in beautiful rhymes by Julia Donaldson and is famously illustrated by Axel Scheffler.
I have linked this up with Actually Mummy's weekly children's funnies 'Wotsofunee.'
It sounds like a gentle waterfall in the background also, or a dishwasher or something . . quite soothing actually.
