Anyway, this film is very reminiscent of Arthur Christmas - read comical clumsiness, innocent charm and enjoyable throughout. The story is about a young man (who actually looks about seven!) being forced to go to Law School by his father despite it being 'not the right fit' for him.
Inspired by
his late Grandfather and encouraged by his Grandmother (voiced by Julie Walters) he chooses instead to follow his dream of becoming a Knight, even though they've been banished by the Queen and replaced with (stupid) Justice Officers.
Cue a quest, a couple of pretty girls, some baddies, one of whom is extraordinarily camp (Rupert Everett) as well as a double dose of David Walliams as a split personality wizard!
Our favourite scenes are with a stand in dragon during his training - a really funny flying crocodile - some of which you can see during the official trailer below. I also spotted Barry Humphries aka Dame Edna Everage in there somewhere.
And another rather pleasing touch is the music by Rebecca Ferguson - some of you might remember her as the very beautiful and gentle lady who could only look at the floor during her X-Factor auditions, but whose instantly recognizable, tender, soulful voice got her through to the finals and she has deservedly gone on to recording her own albums.
The DVD is released today and, as a celebration, I have THREE copies to give away in a Rafflecopter competition. You don't have to love Antonio Banderas to enjoy the extras but

I love him too - shame about the movie. The eldest wasn't v impressed but the youngest and I found it hilarious x
DeleteI have entered your comp in case watching the DVD changes my mind. We normally go to one pound junior movies on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. at Cineworld. We saw Justin for normal prices (about 29 pounds *gulps*) at Odeon on our wedding anniversary so we could do something with Aaron and I think I judged it extra harshly due to the outlay if you get what I mean xxxxxxxxxx
